To More than I Can Be

Hi dear *2E3,

I hope you dear gals&guys are trying to get some good rest in the weekends now, before Term 2 begins to get more challenging, yea?

Anyway, here's a short Newsflash that just came in my email. Thought it better to keep you gals&guys informed: *2E3, we gotta be prepared for spot-checks everyday from now onwards.

The spot-checks will be conducted every morning of the week, focusing on different aspects of school attire & grooming for every day of the week, namely:

i. wearing School Tie,

ii. wearing School Badge,

iii. wearing proper shoes & socks: no low-cut socks, coloured socks, coloured shoes or shoe laces,

iv. No wearing jewelry/ accessories,

v. Proper hairstyles: no long hair for boys; girls to tie/ pin up your hair

As rule-governed as this may sound, I think our *2E3 doesn't really have too much difficulty staying disciplined (and loved by many in our school - your teachers, for one thing!). ;)

While sometimes we may feel that rules control our freedom somewhat, let's take it in a positive way: It is these rules that help maintain order in school, so that the sweeter souls amongst us can enjoy coming to school to learn, make friends, and grow in an environment you can feel good in, yea?

Anyway, that brings us right back to how I'm still feeling good thinking about how you guys can garner appreciation even from our P. himself! Am very proud of your respect you hold for others, 'cos it shows everyone else that you peeps are well-deserving, truly, of all the respect and care your teachers & your friends have for you. Yayy!! :D

Remember, dear people: We do not practise our self-discipline for the sake of others, those who set our rules (in the world, too), those who have more power/authority at every point in our lives, those who live alongside us.

We are disciplined - for ourselves. For our own good. For what we believe is important in our lives. For what we've chosen to agree with, so we can accept that as a personal value we wanna take up and perfect in our own lives, even without anyone else telling us.

And for all these reasons and more, am proud of U. =)
